Ladies
There was heartbreak following our Junior Ladies’ 2 point defeat to Four Roads last Friday night in Kiltoom.  Kilmore were a point down at half-time.  The concession of scores in the opening 15 minutes of the second half left us 10 points down but then the effort and determination of this young team came to the fore when the deficit was back to a point with time nearly up.  A decision awarding a free-in on the edge of Four Roads’ square was incredibly changed to a hop ball from which the cleared their line and went up field to score what was to be the last point. From the kick out we won possession and were on track for goals when the final whistle was sounded much to the dismay of our players and supporters. Four Roads went on to record a 2 point victory.  The Ladies are to be commended on some incredible football and a fight back that deserved at least a draw on the night.  A special thanks to all the girlwho have played and committed to the team this year.  To Jake Feely, Jamie Sharkey and Kevin Caslin for the work and effort they have put into the team, it is hugely appreciated.  The Club would also like to thank Andy Connellan for sponsoring a new set of jerseys for the ladies and to Gerry Connellan for sponsoring a meal for the team after the final.  There was a huge turnout of supporters for the final, thanks to everyone for their support.  To Cliona Beirne, Aoife Devaney and Lisa Shannon, thanks for helping on the night.  Panel:  Joann Finnerty, Aoife Butler, Jenny Connellan (Captain), Lauren Duignan, Aoife Earley, Aine Caslin, Shauna McWeeney, Lauren Shanagher, Aisling Burke, Shauna Burke, Aisling Earley, Grainne Burke, Aine Earley, Natasha Munnelly, Eleanor McWeeney, Olivia Connellan, Martina Duignan, Pamela McGauran, Eilis Caslin, Nicola Craughwell, Sorcha Earley, Fiona Tiernan, Lauren O’Flynn, Clodagh Boland.  Our U12 girls played at half-time and thanks to Steve Holmes and Noelle Geraghty who looked after the girls.  Deirdre Devaney, Rachel Devaney, Roisin Dowd, Shannon Dowd, Charlotte Geraghty, Victoria Geraghty, Roisin Higgins, Eli Holmes, Maria Keane

Other News
On Tuesday morning last our club and parish was saddened to hear of the death of our good friend and club president Willie Casserly of Rockfield. Willie was a great supporter of the club and was highly respected by everyone who knew him and he will be sadly missed. We extend our deepest sympathy to his 3 daughters Carmelita, Una and Catherine and all his extended family and friends. Thanks to everyone who took part in the Guard of honour at Aughrim graveyard. Well done to Martin Glynn who won our 50/50 jackpot of €340 on Sunday night last. The seller was the Arch bar, Jamestown. Our €25 winners were JJ Collins, Helen, Tom Sherwin and Emily Hunt. Well done to Mervyn Foley and his team of sellers. Next on selling duty is Pamela McGaurans team. The club wishes Eibhlin Earley, Hillstreet a very happy 50th birthday. Well done to the ladies of the parish who done the Dublin mini marathon in memory of Mary Donohue in June and on Friday night last presented the Mayo/Roscommon hospice with a cheque for over €12,000.
