Our senior team begin their O Rourke Cup senior league campaign on this Friday night the 2nd of March at 8.30pm in Kiltoom against county & Connacht champions St Brigids. We would ask as many people as possible to make the trip to Kiltoom to support the team.
On Saturday our U-16 team begin their league campaign at 4pm in Kilmore against Castlerea St Kevins, again all support would be appreciated.
On Sunday morning Roscommon minor team play Longford in Elphin at 11.30am and this is then followed at 2.30pm in Pearse Park with the division 3 top of the table clash between Roscommon & Longford.
All roads lead to Elphin Community and Sports Centre this Saturday March 3rd, for the final of the Roscommon GAA Senior Scór Championships. With coveted county medals up for grabs and the opportunity to represent Roscommon in the Connacht final, the stakes are high. Clubs, from St. Michaels in the north down to Clann na nGael in the south, will battle it out in the eight Scór disciplines and there is little doubt that all in attendance will be in for a great evening’s entertainment. Last year Elphin’s Mick Rock advanced through Roscommon and Connacht, representing the northern club at the All-Ireland Final in Killarney’s beautiful INEC theatre and those taking to the stage on Saturday next may well find themselves following in his footsteps!

Competitions will commence at 7.30pm sharp and Coiste Scór Roscomáin asks all competitors to report promptly to Scór officials no later than 7.15pm to ensure smooth running. Those taking part in the Tráth na gCeist (Question Time) compete in a table quiz commencing at 6.45pm at the same venue, with the top 4 teams contesting the new quiz format just after the interval of the main competition. Any clubs still wishing to enter groups or individuals in the final may do so by emailing or by phoning 086 0587702. The events are Figure Dancing, Solo Singing, Instrumental Music, Recitation, Ballad Group, Question Time, Novelty Act, Set Dancing and Sean nós Dancing.
