Coaching Course

Roscommon GAA Coaching and games development are running foundation level coaching courses over the next 2 weekends. Its vital and mandatory for all managers and coaches to complete at least a foundation course. We would encourage everyone in the parish involved with teams or who has an interest in getting involved with teams in the future to take part in this foundation course. The courses last for 3 hours (7.30pm-10.30pm) on Friday evening and 5 hours on Saturday(10am-3pm). Friday 22nd and Saturday the 23rd the course takes place at Kilglass Gaels GAA Club. Keeping an eye on the ball

Kilglass Gaels are holding a seminar on Monday the 25th of February at 7.30pm in the Kilglass club rooms. This is a special seminar that aims to offer inspiration and information to young GAA players, and their coaches, mentors, and administrators, while tackling some of the challenges they all may face during their sporting careers on and off the field. Everybody involved in sport –budding future stars, those who are competing at club, county or national level now, parents, coaches and managers are invited to attend and join in the interactive Night. Club Rooms

We would remind all managers and coaches that our main pitch is closed for all training for the foreseeable future. Lights have now been erected on our 2nd pitch so all teams should be training on that pitch. We would also remind all mangers to ensure that the club rooms are locked and secured after they have been used.

The Gathering

The club reminds everyone that the Gathering weekend takes place from the 14th to the 16th of June 2013 in our parish. We encourage you to invite all your family abroad but especially your family living within Ireland to come home to the parish for the weekend. The Gathering committee will hold a once off fundraising night with a cake sale in Earleys Hillstreet on Saturday the 2nd March at 9pm.
