Club Notes 22/4/2012

The senior team have a busy week ahead as they play two games in three days. On Wednesday evening they face old rivals Elphin in Kilmore throw in is at 7pm. Following that game on Wednesday evening the club will be holding the Kilmore GAA sponsorship draw for 2012 in Earlys Hillstreet at 9:30pm. There is still time to enter the draw entry costs €100. The winner that is drawn will have their name or the name of a charity of their choice on the Kilmore senior team’s jersey for 2012. Everyone who pays €100 will have their name displayed on a board at the pitch and also on our website. Entry to the draw is open to any individual or business. Anyone interested in entering can contact Brian Carroll 087-2420896, Alan Ffrench 087-2573454 or Gary Vesey 086-8986340. On Friday evening the team face Padraig Pearses in Kilmore at 7:15pm. The Junior team were beaten by two points on Saturday evening by St. Croans. The girls U12 team had a comprehensive victory over St. Michaels on Thursday evening last. A meeting will be held in the club rooms on Tuesday evening the 24th April at 9:00pm to organise the upcoming Kilmore GAA Golf Classic on the 12th May. This will be followed by a meeting at 9:30pm to set up a Kilmore GAA Golf Society which was discussed at the AGM earlier on in the year. If there is little interest shown on the night the proposal will be taken no further. All club members are encouraged to dust down their walking shoes and pump up their bicycle tyres as Operation Transformation gets under way again on Friday evening the 27th May for eight weeks. The first weigh in takes place in the club rooms at 8:30pm.  The club would like to congratulate the Roscommon U21 team and management on their fantastic achievement on reaching the All Ireland U21 Final.
