Club Presentation Night
We held our annual club presentation night last Saturday night in the Silver Eel. On the night our club presidents Frank Dennehey and Peter Joe Fitzmaurice presented the awards and medals. Our junior team received their northern medals. Joe Garvey was named our senior footballer of the year and Cathal Carney received the John Glancy memorial cup as he was named junior player of the year for the 2nd year in a row. Our club personality of the year was awarded to Anthony Carroll and our minor board personality of the year was awarded to Raymond Earley. A great night was had by everyone who was there. We thank everyone who supported the night in anyway. We thank everyone who put in tables for us. Special thanks to Colin and all the staff at the Silver Eel for all their help on Saturday night.
Minor Club Meeting
Our minor board are holding a meeting for all parents of our underage players on this Wednesday night at 8pm in the clubrooms. Every parent is encouraged to attend to contribute to the future of all our young players.
Club membership is now due for 2013. Players cost €40, Students €25, Underage players €10 and non playing members cost €20. Its very important that every pays their membership as we have to adapt the approach of no pay, no play. Membership can be paid to club registrar Gerry Connellan or Treasurer Gary Vesey.
Best of Luck
We wish Roscommon the best of luck this Sunday as the face Sligo in Hyde Park in the national football league at 2pm.
O Neills Gear
Within the next 2 weeks we hope to do an O Neills order of Kilmore Jackets/Hoodies and Polo shirts for supporters. All details and prices will be on our website and more details can be obtained by contacting Brian Carroll.
In what was a difficult week for our club members we extend our sympathy to the Earley family Hillstreet on the death of Andy Earley. We extend our sympathy to the Tiernan family on the death of Pearlie Tiernan and we extend our sympathy to the James & Murray family on the recent death of Ann James.
