Club Notes 29th July

The Kilmore minor team suffered a defeat to Kilglass Gales in the special minor league played last Thursday. The Arch Bar sponsored senior team had better luck as they beat Kilbride by six points in the O’Rourke cup on Tuesday evening last. The team’s next outing will be in round 2 of the championship against Western Gales in Elphin on Sunday the 12th August at 5:30pm. The club congratulates Dermot & Yvonne Foley who got married at the weekend and we wish them a long and happy life together. Roscommon GAA are holding a race day on Tuesday 7th August at Roscommon Race course. This is an evening meeting. Tickets cost €25 each and the club has 40 to sell. Tickets cover entry to the racecourse, free race card, €10 free bet voucher and a draw for a number of valuable prizes including holidays, All Ireland tickets and lots more. Music and food also provided. This promises to be a great social occasion for all Roscommon GAA followers. We would ask anyone using the dressing rooms to ensure that they are properly locked after use. The club wishes Dara Feely, Garreth Carroll, Damien Tiernan and the Roscommon minors the best of luck this weekend as they face Kerry in the All Ireland Quarter final. Our annual summer camp takes place the week beginning 13th of August, for more information contact Clare on 087-9471081. We are running a fundraiser called Last man standing in the next few weeks. Tickets will cost €10 with a 1st prize of €500. We will have more details on the fundraiser next week.
