Kilglass Gaels 5KM Walk

Kilglass Gaels are ready to take on the local peak in Strokestown this weekend as they take on a fundraising event for the club.

Team leaders from both inside and outside the club will assemble their teams to take on the peak on a 5km route.

Not only will club members and people from the surrounding areas put on the walking shoes to fundraise for the club , But a host of local and well known personalities will also join them on the day to include:

All Ireland winning manager with Galway in 1998 & 2001 & former Leitrim & Mayo manager: John O' Mahony.

Aswell as members of the Roscommon & local county teams.

We have no doubt that all our guests along with the people doing the walk that their will be alot of craic and banter as well as the trading of some sporting stories.

The walk is 5km in lenght from start to finish And is open to all ages and levels of fitness. The route is selected so to cater with all both young and old. The views of local areas from the walk is truely breath taking with the option also open to all walkers to visit the famous cross on top of the peak. And it s surely to be an enjoyable and unique fundraiser.

Entry is €10 for all people taking part in the walk which also includes entry into a draw for cash prizes after the walk.

Registration will start at 9.30 sharp. Walk starts at 10am sharp & will take roughly 1hr to 1hr 30 min. Light refeshments and draw to take place after the walk.
