The senior team put in two very good performances during the week. On Wednesday
evening last they defeated Elphin in very difficult conditions on a score line
of 5 points to 6. Then on Friday evening they faced Padraig Pearses and scored
an impressive 2-12 to 1-7 victory. They now face Western Gales on the Bank
Holiday Monday at 2pm in Kilmore. The club would like to welcome our new
sponsors the Arch Bar Jamestown who won our sponsorship draw last Wednesday
evening. The club would like to thank everyone who contributed to the draw and a
list of all the club sponsors will be displayed next week. The Kilmore U16 boy's
team defeated neighbours Shannon Gales on last Thursday evening by 3-11 to 3-7.
The Junior team were given the game against Western Gales as they were unable to
field a team. Kilmore's Operation Transformation is up and running and this
Friday night will be the second meeting in the club rooms at 8:30pm anyone
interested is welcome to join. The club would like to wish the Roscommon U21
team the very best of luck in the All Ireland Final against Dublin. Tickets for
the under 21 final will go on sale from Monday next at the County Board Office
and from a number of Supervalu shops throughout the county, namely
Ballaghaderreen , Monksland , Roscommon Town and Castlerea. Following the
Roscommon Under 21 football teams' qualification for the All-Ireland Final,
Roscommon GAA has designated Friday, May 4th as "Rossie Day" in the county. On
that day the people of County Roscommon are encouraged to wear their county
colours, put up a flag or bunting and make a voluntary donation of €2 to the
