Senior Team

Our Senior team took on Clann na nGael on Sunday last in Kilmore in the O Rourke Cup. The game itself became very irrelevant with a few minutes remaining when our senior team captain Colm Garvey picked up a serious head injury. Colm was removed from the field by ambulance but thankfully he is making a very good recovery and we wish his a speedy recovery.  The game was abandoned as a result of the incident. Our Senior team are back again in league action this Easter Sunday when we face Western Gaels in Kilmore at 12pm. Our Junior team continue their league campaign when they play St Josephs this Friday evening at 6pm in Kilmore.

Our U-14 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels defeated St Ciarans last week and our U-16 team lost to St Ciarans. On Monday evening our U-12 team play Boyle in Kilmore at 6.30pm. Our minor team play Tulsk on Tuesday evening at 7pm in Kilmore. Our U-16 team play Western Gaels on Thursday evening in Kilmore at 7pm. On Saturday our minors play Elphin/Ballinamen in Elphin. Our U-14 team also play Kilbride in Kilmore this weekend with the date and time to be confirmed.

Table Quiz

Our annual Kilmore/Shannon Gaels table quiz will take place this Thursday night getting underway at 8pm in Glancys bar, Cortober. Teams of 4 in adult and juvenile level are welcome to attend. Great prizes on the night. We would encourage particularly the parents of our underage teams to please support this event. The 2016 Championship winning minor team will also be presented with their County medals on Thursday night.
