O Rourke Cup
Our senior team suffered a disappointing 9 point defeat on Saturday evening last to St Aidans in Ballyforan. We had a strong breeze in the 1st half and lead by 4 points going into injury time at half time but a goal for St Aidans with the last kick of the 1st half proved crucial. The second half was tight for 20 minutes but a crucial penalty miss proved costly for us as St Aidans then pulled away in the last 7 or 8 minutes. Our next O Rourke cup game is in Kilmore on Easter Sunday the 31st of March at 12pm against St Brigids. Thanks to all the supporters who travelled up and thanks to Michael Pop Connellan, Gerry Garvey & Mervyn Foley for helping out doing officials on the day.

Junior League
Our junior team got their league campaign of to the perfect start on Sunday morning last when they defeated St Michaels in Cootehall in the 1st round of the league. Our team was Ollie Burke, Ian Connellan, Noel Reynolds, Ryan McLoughlin, Tony Moran, Donal Carroll, Liam Caslin, Roger Baker Kenny, Mark McEvoy, Stephen Gannon, Anthony Carroll, Joe Sharkey, Jamie Sharkey, Danny Collins, Cathal Carney. It was great to see Jamie Sharkey back on the pitch in action following his injury.

U-16 League
Our U-16 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels were defeated on Sunday morning last by St Dominics.

Club draw
Our club draw tickets are now on sale from members of the club. Tickets cost €100 and we will be having our 1st draw very shortly. We would encourage all families in the parish to support the draw. There are 4 prizes of €1,000 and many more prizes during the year.

Other news
The club extends its deepest sympathy to John Anthony Burke and the Burke family on the death of Mrs Annie Burke, The Curries, Kilmore. The club wishes St Brigids the best of luck in the All-Ireland club final and Kilmore GAA have made a donation to the St Brigids team training fund. The club reminds all managers and teams to utilise the 2nd pitch for training due to the condition of our main pitch. Kilmore G.A.A. will for the 1st time in the history of the GAA host the annual Roscommon County Convention in Kilmore in December 2013.
