Kilmore GAA Club Notes 12th January 2015

Annual General Meeting

Our Annual General Meeting took place last weekend in the clubrooms. Gary Veseys 3 year term as treasurer came to an end and he was replaced by Jennifer Connellan. Our new assistant Treasurer is Brian Carroll and our new players representative is Kevin Caslin. All other officers remain the same.

Finance Meeting

Our Finance Committee will hold their 1st meeting of 2015 on this Monday night at 9.30pm in the club house.


2015 Membership is now due and we would ask everyone to please pay their membership as soon as possible. No players will be allowed to play until membership is paid. Membership costs €40 for adults, €25 for students, €20 for non players and €10 for underage players. Membership can be paid to club registrar Gerry Connellan or club treasurer Jennifer Connellan.

U-12 County Champions

Our U-12 team who won the County final in 2014 will receive their medals this Saturday evening at a very special function in the clubrooms. The medals will be presented by Roscommon GAA County Secretary Brian Carroll and the event will get underway at 7.30pm in the clubhouse. Everyone is welcome to attend on what is a very special evening for this great bunch of young people.

Other News

Our next 50/50 draw takes place this Sunday night in the Silver Eel. Trevor Hunts team of sellers are on duty and envelopes are on sale in all usual outlets in the parish.

The club congratulates Shane Sharkey and Chelcy who got engaged recently. The club extends its sympathy to the Shanley Family on the recent death of Michael Shanley, Clooncommon, Kilmore. The club congratulates John Gannon who scored 1-2 for the Roscommon U-21 team in their Hastings cup win on Saturday last against Meath.
