Kilmore GAA Club Notes 13th February 2012

A great night was had by all last saturday night in The Silver Eel at our annual social and awards night. A great crowd of nearly 150 people attended on the night and the club thanks each and everyone of them for their support. We also thank the following people who put tables in on the night Phil Carney, CAtherine Feely & Lucy Glancy, Claire Collins & Mary Burke, Geraldine Garvey, Mary King King, Mary & Ann Connellan, Carmelita Caslin, Brian Carroll, Gary Vesey, Kitty Gannon, Trevor Hunt, Annette McWeeney and Siobhan Connellan & Patricia Butler. Jack Sharkey was named as our senior player of the year. Cathal Carney was awarded junior player of the year and received the John Glancy memorial cup. Kilmore GAA thank the Glancy family and in particular Padraig, Breege and Mairead for presenting the club with this cup. Clare Caslin was awarded personality of the year award for 2011. Presentations was also made to Jim King, Mervyn & Audrey Foley & Pat & Charlie Caslin. We wish to thank The silver eel for all their help on the night and also thanks to PJ Hoare for his sound system. Thanks to Barry Cox drycleaners, Cryans restaurant, Joe MCEvoy Corrib Oil, Dermot Foley, Kalzen, Padraig Flynn and The silver eel for sponsoring spot prizes on the night. Club membership is now due and is €40 for players, €25 for students, €10 for under age and €20 for non players. This can be paid to gerry connellan or Gary Vesey. Our €100 draw tickets are now due for renewal and letters will be circulated this week in connection with the draw. Kilmore foroige hold a concert this Saturday night and everyone is encouraged to attend. Our treasurer Gary Vesey celebrates his birthday this week and we wish him well!
