posted 13 Mar 2017, 14:17 by Brian Carroll

Senior Team

Our King & Moffat sponsored senior team lost to Roscommon Gaels on Sunday last in Kilmore. Next up is Clann Na nGael in 4 weeks. Our Junior team play their first game off 2017 this Friday St Patricks day when we face Tulsk at 2pm in Tulsk. The Club wishes Cathal Carney a speedy recovery from his injury sustained at the weekend.

Underage

Our U-8 and U-10 teams had their first competitive outing of year at the weekend. There was no sign of rustiness as some early season training allowed the U-10's to deliver a great performance. The U-8s pulled together as a great team with two or three players playing their first ever match in the Kilmore Colours and all did their club proud. Our U-16 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels overcame Kilglass/St Barrys in the second round of the league. Next game for the U-16's is fixed for next Sunday morning in Kilmore against St Aidans. Our U-6, U-8 and U-10 Kilmore GAA players will be taking part in the St Patricks Day parade in Carrick this year. Everyone taking part in the parade is asked to assemble at the girls school at 12.10pm on St Patricks days. All players are asked to bring their club colours for the parade.

Ladies

Our U-16 girls team of Kilmore/Elphin won their opening game in the championship at the weekend by defeating Castlerea 5-6 to 1-9. Their next games is against Kilbride on St Patricks day at 10.30am in Kilbride and we also play Shannon Gaels this Sunday the 19th of March at 4pm in Croghan.
