Kilmore GAA Club Notes 18th January 2016

Dinner Dance
Kilmore GAA are delighted to announce that our Dinner Dance will take place on Friday the 29th of January 2016 at 8pm in the Percy French Hotel, Strokestown. This will be without doubt a brilliant night and we are delighted to say that the band Top Of The Popz will play the music on the night. Lead singer on the band is our very own Padraig King. Tickets this year cost just €25 for a 4 Course meal and a great nights entertainment. Tickets are limited and anybody who wishes to order tickets is asked to Contact Brian Carroll 087-2420896 or Jenny Connellan 086-0779493.This will be a brilliant night and we are asking for all our players and supporters to make the extra effort to be there.

Operation Transformation
Now that January is here in association with our Health and Wellbeing project Kilmore GAA are running Operation Transformation. It will get underway on Monday the 1st of February and will finish on Easter Saturday the 26th of March. The aim of this is to try and give everyone a chance to become that bit more healthy. We will have a range of different talks during the event including talks on Suicide Awareness, Preventing Cancer and Healthy heart.We will also have an activity organised for every day from the 1st of February until the end date so everyone is welcome to join in any day at all. We will also have a special prize for the person who attends the most events. So put 7pm on the 1st of February in your diary and come over to the pitch and join us as we all aim to lose a few extra pounds.

Fun Run/Walk
Kilmore Ladies GAA Club are holding a 8K Fun run and walk this Sunday the 24th of January 2016 at 12pm from the pitch. Registration begins at 11am. Ebtry fee is just €10 for adults and €5 for children. Its a great chance to get warmed up for the beginning of Operation Transformation so everyone is encouraged to come out on Sunday and take part in the walk. Well done to Tish Caslin who won our 50/50 Jackpot of €387. Our €25 winners were Gary Connellan, Brian Carroll, Seamus Glancy and Brian Carroll. Thanks to Clare Connellan and her team of sellers for their excellent work. Thanks to everyone who bought tickets. Next on duty is Gary Veseys team.
