Kilmore GAA Club Notes 18th November 2013

Our  Garda up team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels are in Garda cup action this weekend. We are down to play Strokestown at 1pm in Kilmore this Saturday.  
Annual Race Night
Our annual race night takes place on Friday night the 29th of November getting underway at 9.30pm in the Kilmore Inn. Horses and jockeys are on sale from all members of the senior & Junior team and also members of the executive. They cost €10 for a horse and €10 for a jockey. We would ask for everyone to please support this fundraiser. You can also sponsors a race for just €50.
Eat Less, Move More.
We would ask anyone who still has outstanding sponsorship to please return it as soon as possible to Gary Vesey, Brian Carroll, Trevor Hunt or Clare Caslin. Dancing classes continues on Thursday evenings at 8pm and fitness classes take place on Friday evenings at 7pm. Everyone is welcome. Group walks also take place twice a week.
Challenge 24/32
The team of Challenge 24/32 wish to thank everyone who helped out in anyway at all in their recent Charity drive for the Irish Cancer Society. We are delighted to announce that our final figure is €5,767 for the Irish Cancer Society. thanks to everyone for their generosity.
Gerry Connellan
Roscommon GAA Supporters Club are honouring the 11 players who have won All Star awards for Roscommon. Our own Gerry Connellan is one of these award winners. He will be honoured at their annual banquet on Saturday the 30th of November in the Abbey Hotel, Roscommon. Tickets cost €50 and anyone from the club who wishes to attend is asked to contact Brian Carroll for tickets 087-2420896.
Other news
We congratulate Fuerty GAA club on winning the Connacht junior title. We wish St Brigids GAA club the best of luck in this Sundays Connacht club final. We are looking at the possibilty of a Christmas party night for all our members of Saturday 28th of December on Moon River. More details soon. Our annual St Stephens day outing this year will be a family 8KM walk/run getting underway at 12pm on St Stephens day at the pitch. Then that evening music will be in the Kilmore Inn from 7pm to 9pm with the brilliant Alan Clarke.
