Kilmore GAA Club Notes 19th August 2013

Senior Team
Our senior team were defeated by Castlerea on Sunday last in Strokestown by a goal. This brings to an end our senior campaign for 2013. Thanks to the management and players for their effort during the year. Thanks to all the supporters who came out to the games.
 
Junior Team
Our junior team had a good win over St Michaels in the league on Wednesday evening last in Kilmore.
 
Underage
Our minor team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels exited the championship on Tuesday evening last when they were defeated by Padraig Pearses up in Woodmount. Our U-14 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels play Eire Og next Tuesday evening the 27th of August in the division 2 semi final at a venue to be confirmed.
 
Summer Camp
Our Summer camp was a great success last week. The event took place from Monday to Friday. Thanks to Clare Caslin for organising the camp and thanks to all her helpers for the week.
 
Golf Classic
Our golf classic took place on Friday and Saturday last in Carrick on Shannon golf club. Well done to the winning team captained by Pat King. Thanks to everyone who took part in the golf classic. Special thanks to Padraig McKeon for the use of his marquee. Thanks to the following who sponsored tees on the day Morris Meats, Elphin p[harmacy, Trevor Hunt, Peter Duignan, Cllr Gerry Garvey, Frank Feighan TD, Cllr Rachel Doherty, The Silver Eel, The Anchorage bar, Allen Ffrench, The Sportsman, Tom Crowe and Dawn till Dusk. Thanks to everyone who attended our presentation social on Saturday night in Kilmore.
 
Last Man Standing
Thanks top everyone who sold and purchased tickets in our last man standing competition. All teams and names are now listed on www.kilmoregaa.ie
 
Eat Less, Move More Challenge
Its time to get the runners out again as the club are running an eat less move more challenge. This will get under way on the last weekend in August and will last for 8 weeks finishing up on the October bank holiday weekend. More details next week. 
 
Well done to all our members who got their leaving cert results this week.
