Kilmore GAA Club Notes 1st July

Junior & Senior Team
Our junior team defeated St Ronans by 0-15 to 1-6 on Friday evening week last in Kilmore in the Div 4 league. We wish Roger Baker Kenny a speedy recovery from the injury sustained in that game.The junior teams game against St Michaels was postponed on Sunday week last due to a death in the St Michaels club. The junior teams next outing is this Sunday the 7th of July at 12pm in Ballyfarnon against St Ronans. Our Murtaghs bar sponsored senior teams next outing is Wednesday the 17th of July at 8pm against Elphin in Elphin. 
Our U-16 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels drew with Boyle in the division 1 U-16 championship last Wednesday evening. Our minor team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels are due to play Strokestown in the league on this Friday evening in Strokestown at 7.30pm. On Monday the 1st July our U-14 team of Kilmore/Shannon gaels are to play Boyle in the league at 7.30pm in Boyle. Our U-16 team are also due to play St Ciarans this Sunday morning in Kilmore. Keep an eye on our website and twitter page for updates and results.
Club General Meeting
A General meeting of Kilmore GAA club will take place this Wednesday the 3rd of July at 9pm in the clubrooms. All members of the club are invited and encouraged to attend the meeting.  
Aughrim School
Congratulations to Aughrim Girls team who won the Cumann na mBunscol two teacher schools competition last week. This is the fourth year in a row that the girls have won it which is a remarkable achievement. They defeated Castlesamson in the final by a goal. The team and panel was: Natasha Munnelly, Áine Earley, Aoife Devaney, Gráinne Burke, Shauna McWeeney (captain), Aoife Earley, Leah Murphy, Alicia McCormack, Lisa Shannon, Rachel Devaney.
Golf Society
Kilmore GAA Golf society Captains outing takes place on Sunday the 14th of July in the Slieve Russell at 12.15pm. Tee times have been booked for all paid up members, non members must book. All details are on our website
Other News
The club wishes Roscommon senior team the best of luck in their qualifier game this weekend. The Gathering weekend DVD is now on sale and a limited number are available to purchase at €15. DVD's are on sale in Padraig Flynn's shop or by contacting Brian Carroll 087-2420896, Clare Caslin 087-9471081 or Trevor Hunt 087-9652581. Roscommon ladies GAA are holding their race day on Monday the 8th of July in Roscommon racecourse. Tickets cost €20 and each club must sell a quota of tickets. Anyone interested in going to the races can contact JJ McWeeeny or members of the ladies Committee for further details. we are currently organising a presidents night for our 3 club presidents Willie Casserly, Peter Joe Fitzmaurice and Frank Dennehey. We will have all details of date, venue etc in next weeks notes. We will also hopefully have news on our annual club activity week in next weeks notes. We thank everyone most sincerely who purchased county board €100 tickets and we congratulate Joe & Frances McEvoy on winning a voucher.
