Kilmore GAA Club Notes 20th March 2017

Senior & Junior Team 
Our King & Moffat sponsored senior team lost to Roscommon Gaels on Sunday week last in Kilmore. Next up is Clann Na nGael in 3 weeks. Our Junior team got their 2017 league campaign off to a great start with a win over Tulsk on St Patricks day. Kilmore team was Karol Foley, Padraig Earley, Noel Reynolds, Liam Caslin, Danny Collins, Charlie Burke, Paddy Doyle, Peter Sheridan, Brian Connellan, Ben Donohue, Fiachara Doyle, Paul Butler, JAke Feely, Ray Caslin & Ryan McLoughlin. 

Underage 
Well done to our U-6, U-8 and U-10 panels who took part in the St Patricks Day parade in Carrick On Shannon. Our U-16 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels who defeated St Aidans in round 3 of the league on Sunday last. This Sunday our U-14 & minor teams of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels begin their 2017 campaigns. Our minors play Oran on Sunday at 11am in Kilmore and our U-14's play Strokestown in Kilmore at 6pm.  U-6 & U-8 registration takes place this Friday evening. Registration costs €15 plus for an additional €5 each child will have their own football to bring to and from training. The first training session takes place at 6.30pm on Friday evening at the pitch.  

Ladies 
Our U-16 girls team of Kilmore/Elphin won their opening game in the championship  by defeating Castlerea 5-6 to 1-9. 

Other News
Our 1st club draw of 2017 took place on Sunday night week last in the Kilmore Inn. Our winners were as follows €1,000 John & Rose Llyod, €400 Carmelita Caslin, €200 Michael Burke, Hotel Voucher was won by Des Caslin and €100 went to Gary Beirne. A sincere thanks to everyone who purchased tickets and thanks also to everyone who sold tickets. Our 50/50 draw also took place on Sunday night last. The jackpot was €570 and was won by Eoin Lyons and the seller was Jamie Sharkey. Our €25 winners were Andy Connellan, Aisling Lannon, Robert Gillan and Natasha Munnelly. Thanks to Jamie Sharkey and his team of sellers on an excellent jackpot. This Sunday night our 50/50 draw takes place in the Silver Eel and on selling duty is Gerry Tiernans team. The club wishes Karol Foley & Emma Conlon the very best of luck as they get married this Friday. The club also wishes John Gannon & John Donohue and the Roscommon U-21 panel the best of luck as they begin their 2017 Championship campaign this Wednesday evening against Sligo in Kiltoom. Gerard Fitzmaurice of Cloonfad Avenue has contacted the Club PRO and asked him to wish his wife Claire a very happy birthday this week.
