Senior Team
Our Murtaghs bar sponsored senior team suffered a very disappointing defeat to Clann Na Gael in the 1st round of the championship last Saturday evening in Kiltoom. We have now to get back on track and round 2 of the senior championship is on this Sunday and we have another difficult trip to Ballyleague to face St Faithleachs. The game throws in at 3pm and we would encourage as much support as possible. We thank the members & stewards of St Brigids GAA club and to Doctor Damien Tiernan who assisted with Dermot Foley when he suffered his injury on Saturday in the game. Thanks also to the referee and the members of St Brigids & Clann Na Gael and other clubs who contacted our club to enquire about the health of Dermot. Thankfully Dermot is back on track again fighting fit.
Our U-12 team are due to face Kilglass Gaels in Kilglass this Friday at 7pm. Our U-14 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels have a double outing this week. On Tuesday the 21st we play the re-arranged game against Tulsk in Kilmore at 7pm. Then on Thursday evening we make the trip over to Frenchpark to face Western Gaels at 7pm.
County Board Tickets
We still have yet to reach our target for the county board tickets. Tickets cost €100 with a first prize of €35,000. This year their is also a special draw for clubs who reach their quota of tickets. This week members of the executive will be contacting members of the parish and we would encourage for as much support with the tickets as possible.
Executive Meeting
An executive meeting of Kilmore GAA club will take place this Wednesday night the 22nd of May at 10pm in the Clubrooms. All members of the executive are asked to attend.
