Our Junior team are due to play the Northern junior semi final against Boyle this weekend. The game has been provisionally fixed for Elphin with the day and time to be confirmed. Please check our website for exact day and time and details will also be circulated via text. Wherever and whenever the game is please come out and support the team.

Under 21
Hard luck to our U-21 team who were knocked out of the championship on Sunday last after a draw with Ballinameen. Our lads got off to a poor start and were 9 points down at half time but fought back brilliantly to go 4 ahead but a late goal meant there was a share of spoils which put us out. Best of luck to Ballinameen in the semi finals. The team was Ollie Burke, Peter Glancy, Ian Connellan, Paul Butler, Danny Collins, Charlie Burke, Cathal Carney, Peter sheridan, Joe Sharkey, John Gannon, Ben Donoghue, Darragh Feeley, Brian Connellan, sub used Joe Garvey. thanks to the panel for their efforts during the year and thanks to the team selectors Donal Carroll and Damien Tiernan for their work and a special thanks to the team manager Brendan Burke for all the work and effort he put in over the last 2 months.

Under 14
Our U-14 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels will play the division 2 league final on this Thursday evening at 7.30pm in Kilbride under lights. All support would be welcome.

Eat Less, Move More & Challenge 24/32
Well done to everyone who took party in this challenge as it now enters its last week. Final weigh in takes place this Friday night getting underway at 9.30pm in the club rooms. All our participants also have sponsorship cards for their weight loss so we would ask for as much support as possible. Everyone is invited to join us on Friday night as 4 members of our club will depart from the club at 11pm to attempt to visit the 32 Counties of Ireland in 24 hours for the Irish Cancer Society. Then on Saturday night its party time as the winners of our Weight loss challenge will be announced in Earlys Hillstreet as a special party night. There will be music on night with food also served. Then hopefully before 11pm our 4 club members Brian Carroll, Clare Caslin, Gary Vesey and Trevor Hunt will arrive back after visiitng the 32 Counties of Ireland. Tickets for the Irish Cancer Society are on sale throughout the parish and also on line and will be available to purchase on Saturday night. So we would ask everyone to copme out on Saturday night for a night not to be missed. Shannonside FM radio will also be covering the last hour of the drive around Ireland until they arrive back in Hillstreet.

We have 7 brave soldiers still standing in Last Man Standing in the battle for €500. They are Chloe Connellan, Joe McCabe, Harold Rogers, Darren McCabe, Aine Caslin, Diarmuid Carney and Sean McMonogle. Round 9 is coming up this weekend.
