Kilmore GAA Club Notes 22nd April 2013

Senior Team
Our Murtaghs bar sponsored senior team were defeated by 0-13 to 0-11 in the O rourke cup on Sunday last in Frenchpark. Playing with a strong breeze in the 1st half we were 0-6 to 0-1 ahead with 5 minutes to go to half time but Western Gaels kicked 5 points before the break to leave just 1 in it at half time. We battled hard in the 2nd half and going in to injury time the sides were level but Western gaels kicked 2 injury time points to take the win. Next up for our senior team is a trip to Tulsk this Sunday at 2.30pm. Please come out and support the team.
U-16 Team
Our Glancys Super Valu sponsored U-16 team of Kilmore/Shannon gaels had a good 4-11 to 3-6 win over Roscommon gaels on sunday last in Kilmore in the league. Their championship game against Roscommon Gaels was called off last week due to Lisnamult not been playable. Thier mext game in the league is due to be this Sunday at 11.30am against Clann Na Gael in Johnstown.
U-14 Team
Our U-14 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels are due to begin their Division 2 league campaign on this Thursday evening at 6.45pm in Kilmore against St Aidans.
County Board Draw
The Roscommon G.A.A. County board tickets are now on sale throughout the club. this year each member of our executive is been asked to sell a minimum of 2 tickets. Tickets cost €100 and the club has a quota to reach. If they club reaches that quota we will also be entered into a special draw for all clubs with great prizes. 1st prize in the main draw is €35,000. All prize details areon our website Anyone who wishes to buy a ticket can contact any member of the executive.

The club extends its sympathy to the family of Tommy Hogg, Kilmore who passed away during the week.
