Kilmore GAA Club Notes 24th October 2011

The Dunness Bar sponsored U 21 team lost on Saturday evening to St. Dominics by 2-4 to 1-10. Team was: Ollie Bourke, Peter Glancy, Ian Connellan, Roger Baker Kenny, Ronan O Beirne, Paul McEhone, Cathal Carney, Peter Sheridan, Gary Notley, Darragh Feeley, Joe Garvey. The teams next game is against Ballinameen on Sunday next. Kilmore GAA welcome the London Champions Fulham Irish GAA to Kilmore to battle it out for the Daly Memorial Cup. The game will kick off at 12:30 pm in Kilmore. It is hoped that Kilmore and Elphin U12's will play in the curtain raiser at 11:30am. Kilmore GAA will be having it's Christmass Party at the dog track in Mullingar on Saturday the 26th November. Tickets for the night will cost €50 this will include transport, admission, a complimentary drink and entry into a draw for €1000. Tickets can be bought from the following members of the committee Brian Carroll, Clare Caslin, Sean Glancy, Martin Garvey, Gary Vesey, JJ McWeeney, Dermot Foley and Jason McEvoy. Tickets will be on sale soon and will be limited to 120 tickets. A memorial mass will be held for all deceased members of the club on Sunday the 6th of November at 12:30 in the clubrooms. Congratulations to all the children from Aughrim School who performed so well last Friday night week and last Sunday week in Scór na bpáistí in Ballyleague Hall. They got two first prizes in Novelty Act and Figure dancing, three second prizes in set dancing, recitation and instrumental music and one third in recitation. They were also very well behaved on the night and did the school, the parish and the GAA club proud.
The children who represented the school were Diarmaid Earley, Eleanor McWeeney, Luke Devine, Aisling Earley, Aoife Butler, Colm Fitzpatrick, Leah Murphy, Shauna McWeeney, Natasha Munnelly, Áine Earley, Aoife Earley, Gráinne Burke, Aaron Devaney, Niall McLoughlin, Aoife Devaney, Cian McKiernan, Lisa Shannon, Alicia Mc Cormack, Grace Bracken and Rachel Devaney.
