The club held a great night at the dogs at Mullingar greyhound stadium on Saturday night last. We want to thank everyone who travelled up on the night. The club wants to thank everyone who purchased tickets and also sold tickets for the night. Thanks to our race sponsors Kalzen, Brady Travel, Jim Glancy, Gills Drumsna, and Glancys Super Valu. Thanks to the race night committee of Brian Carroll, Clare Caslin, Martin Garvey, Dermot Foley, JJ McWeeney, Sean Glancy & Gary Vesey. Our €1,000 was won by Mary Duignan from Carrick-On-Shannon. A mighty night was had by everyone and thanks to all the great singers who made the journey home from Mullingar on the bus feel a lot shorter. Well done to our figure dancing and set dancing teams who competed at the weekend in scór na nóg competition in Ballyleague. They got through to the county final which will take place in the Dean Crowe Theatre on Sunday 11th December. Hard luck to Aaron Devaney who performed very well in the recitation section but was unsuccessful. Tickets will soon go on sale for Peter Joe’s card game which will take place on Sunday night the 18th of December in Brackens, Hillstreet. The club wishes Frank Dennehy the best of luck this Saturday night as he receives his hall of fame award at the Roscommon G.A.A. supporter’s club banquet in Roscommon. Our last man standing was won this week with Padraig Doyle taking the prize as he defeated Gary Connellan. The club would also like to congratulate Emmet Flood on his recent engagement.
