Kilmore GAA Club Notes 29th April 2013

Senior Team
Our Murtaghs bar sponsored Senior team defeated Tulsk on Sunday last in Tulsk by 2-10 to 1-12 in the O Rourke cup. The game was nip and tuck through out but we held on for the win at the end. Next weekend we again have a crucial game in the O Rourke cup as we host St Faithleachs at 6.30pm in Kilmore.
Minor Team
Our minor team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels were defeated by 3-8 to 3-7 on Tuesday evening last in division 1 of the league.
Our U-16 team drew with Clann Na Gael on Sunday morning last on a scoreline of 2-6 to 0-12.
Our U-14 team had a good 3-10 to 0-5 win over St Aidans on Tuesday evening last. Their next game is against Elphin on this Thursday evening at 7pm in Elphin.
U-6, U-8 and U-10 training has resumed. All players are reminded that the must hand in their birth cert and €10 registration fee to be registered for the year ahead. This can be given to the team manager or our minor club secretary Ann Sheridan. All players are also reminded that they must have gum shields.
Other News
All club members are reminded to keep the weekend of the 14th - 16th of June free for our parish gathering weekend. Our Golf classic for this year will take place on Friday and Saturday the 16th and 17th of August in Carrick-on-Shannon golf club. Keep the date free and more details will be released soon. County board tickets are selling very well at the moment and we thank everyone who has purchased a ticket at €100. We would encourage anyone else who wishes to support the draw to contact any member of Kilmore executive. Remember their is a 1st prize of €35,000 with many other prizes. All prizes are listed on We wish our minor board Chairman Padraig Doyle a very happy birthday this week as he hits the 50 mark!
