Kilmore GAA Club Notes 3rd August 2015

Senior Team

Our Murtaghs bar sponsored senior team play Boyle this Sunday at 4pm in Round 3 of the Senior Championship. Please come out and support the team. We wish the team the very best of luck in the game.


Junior Team

Our junior team had a mixed week, In the Championship we were defeated by Kilbride on Saturday evening last in Kilbride. On Wednesday evening last in the league we defeated St Faithleachs in Kilmore. We wish Peter Sheridan and Shane Sharkey a speedy recovery from the injuries received during the championship game.


Underage

Our U-10 team are in action this Saturday morning in a blitz in Kilglass. Our U-12 team are in action this Sunday morning at 12pm when we travel to Lisnamult to play Roscommon Gaels. Our Minor team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels play St Ciarans this Thursday evening in the Division 1 championship in Kilmore.


Finance

Our 50/50 jackpot of €305 was won by Nicola Connellan, €25 winners were Trevor Hunt, Pat Scollan, Caoimhe Hanly and Sorcha Tiernan. Thanks to Gerry Tiernan and his team of sellers. Brian Carrolls team are on selling duty for the next draw. The Club annual Last Man Standing tickets are on sale from all players and cost just €10 with a chance to win the top prize of €500. All selections will be on our website from this weekend.


Activity Camp

Our activity camp gets underway this Tuesday the 4th of August at 10am at the pitch. A very limit number of places still remain on the camp and can be booked by contacting Clare on 087-9471081.


Summer BBQ

Kilmore GAA will hold its 1 ever end of Summer BBQ in the Kilmore Inn on Sunday evening the 23rd of August. We will have music from 8pm to 10pm with brilliant Alan Clarke and this will be followed by a DJ. There will be lots of fun on the night with novelty games, raffle, mini auction and much more so put this date in your diary!


Other News

The club congratulates Mark McEvoy and Sandra Gunning who got married last weekend. The club extends its sympathy to the family of the late Liam Hanly who passed away at the weekend. Kilmore will host the Senior Championship game between Elphin and Strokestown this Saturday evening at 7pom. We will need help from club members stewarding on the evening. Please make yourself available to help us out on Saturday evening.
