Kilmore GAA Club Notes 3rd August 2020

Well done to our King & Moffat sponsored intermediate team who defeated Eire Óg on Saturday evening last in round 2 of the championship by 2-13 to 0-13. Well done to the management and players on a great battling performance. Next up we face Castlerea in round 3 in Kilmore on Sunday week. We will announce ticket details next week for this game. 

Our U6, U8 and U 10’s will continue to train every Friday evening at Kilmore Pitch at 6.30 pm. Can all parents ensure that all players are signed in with the Covid Supervisors when dropped off at the Grounds. This is compulsory requirement by the GAA and if players are not signed in they cannot train. Kilmore U12’s recorded their second win of their Division 3 league campaign with a win over Michael Glaveys in Kilmore on Saturday morning 1st August. Next league fixture for Kilmore U12’s is against St Aidans on the 8th August at 11.30 am in Kilmore. Our U16 combined team will be starting their Division 1 League against Clann an Gael in Kilmore on the 3rd August at 19.00.

Our U12 Girls opened  their campaign with a win over St. Faithleach's and then followed up with a win against Western Gaels. The panel was as follows Ingrid Jameson, Heather McEhlone, Amy McKeon, Lily Connellan, Aoife Burke, Katie Hunt, Ciara Carroll, Chloe Connellan, Olivia Munnelly, Cara James, Natalie James, Doireann Smyth, Saoirse Bracken, Caoimhe Hanley, Aoibhe Higgins, Mia Holmes, Saoirse Bracken, Sophie Bulter, Grace Burke, Alannah McKiernan, theirnext game is against St. Ciaran's next Sunday, 9th August at 6pm in Fuerty. Many of our girls are playing for the first time and it is great to see. The Junior Ladies team were defeated by St. Barry's in their opening game. Next game is against Four Roads.

Our next 50/50 draw takes place on Sunday week. Tickets can now be purchased on line via our website. The club wishes Derek Connellan a very happy birthday this week!
