Kilmore GAA Club Notes 5th January 2016

Our Annual General Meeting took place on Saturday last in the clubrooms and was a well attended meeting. The following officers were elected for the coming year Presidents Frank Dennehy, Willie Casserly, Peter Joe Fitzmaurice, Chairperson Tommie Kenoy, Vice-Chairperson Gerry Tiernan, Secretary Jamie Sharkey, Assistant Secretary Clare Connellan, Treasurer Jenny Connellan, Assistant Treasurer Brian Carroll, PRO Brian Carroll, Minor Board Chairperson Trevor Hunt, Minor Board Secretary Damien Devaney, Registrar Gerry Connellan, Senior Team Manager Stephen Coy, Junior Team Manager T.B.C., Coaching And Games Officer Gary Vesey, Insurance Officer Teresa Kenoy, Childrens Officer Vacant, Rounders Representative Nicola Craughwell, County Board Delegates Padraig Doyle plus one more to be appointed, Players Rep Kevin Caslin, Ladies Rep JJ McWeeney, Health & Wellbeing Officer Gerry Tiernan and Irish Language and Cultural Officer to appointed. The club thanks everyone who took positions on the executive. Thanks to Padraig Doyle and Ann Sheridan for all their work over the past 7 on the minor board. Thanks to Donal Carroll for his work with the junior team and also thanks to Harry Reynolds and Christy Carney who have stepped down from their positions. A very special thanks to Trevor Hunt who has stepped down as Secretary. Thanks to Trevor for all his Committment and dedication to Kilmore GAA over the past 2 years and no doubt Trevor will make an excellent Minor Board Chairperson.

Peter Joes Card Game

Our annual Peter Joes Card game too place on Sunday the 20th of December in Brackens. Overall winner on the night was John Craughwell. Thanks to everyone who sold and bought tickets. Thanks to everyone who made sandwiches for the night and thanks to Peter Joe and JJ for running the night very well as always.

Club Draw

Our Annual Club draw took place on St Stephens Day and the following were the winners €1,000 Michael & Phil Carney, Hotel Break Cathal & Mary Brady, €250 Jason McEvoy, Hamper Pat Gannon and €100 Stephen Gannon. Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets for our draw.

Well done to PJ Hoare who won the 50/50 jackpot of €370 on Sunday night last. The €25 winners were Bertie Hanly, Kitty Gannon, Imelda Hanly and Jamie Sharkey. Thanks to Trevor Hunt and his team of sellers. Next on selling duty is Clare Connellans team. The club extends its sympathy to the family of the late Gerry McGauran, Foxwood who passed away on St Stephens Day. The club also extends its sympathy to the family of the late Michael Conlon of Carnadoe who passed away recently. The club wishes everyone a Happy and Healthy 2016.
