Kilmore GAA Club Notes 6th July 2015

O Gara Cup

Our O Gara cup team are in action this weekend when we take on Clann Na Ngael in Kilmore. The game is fixed for Sunday but that will depend on the Roscommon game.


Our U-16 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels defeated St Ciarans at the weekend in the championship. Our U-14 team of Kilmore/Shannon Gaels lost to St Faithleachs. Our U-14 team are in action this Thursday at 7.30pm in Croghan against St Aidans. Our U-12 team play St Dominics this Sunday at 12pm in Kilmore.

Well done to our 50/50 jackpot winner Paddy McGauran who won €435 in last Sunday nights draw. Our €25 winners were Brian Lavin, Pauline Talbot, Charlie McAllister and Bobby O Connor. Thanks to Jenny Connellan and her team of sellers. Next on selling duty is Harry Reynolds team. Our activity camp takes place in August for 2 weeks getting underway  on Tuesday the 4th. To book a place please contact Clare on 087-9471081. Best of luck to the Gaelic for mothers and others who are taking part in a Connacht blitz this Saturday the 11th of July in Ballyhaunis. Well done to Fiachra Doyle who was part of the Roscommon U-16 team who defeated Leitrim on Wednesday evening last in Carrick On Shannon. Well done to Colman Earley who was part of the Roscommon U-17 team who won on Saturday. Hard luck to John Donohue who was part of the Roscommon minor team defeated last Friday evening in the Connacht championship and also hard luck to Damien Tiernan who was part of the management team. The club need to provide 8 stewards for the Connacht final on Sunday the 19th of July. Anyone who is interested is asked to contact Brian on 087-2420896. An executive meeting of Kilmore GAA will take place on this Tuesday night at 9.30pm in the Clubrooms. Well done to the Roscommon senior team who defeated Cavan at the weekend and best of luck against Fermanagh. The Club Rossie Golf classic takes place this Friday and Saturday in Roscommon Golf Course. Anyone interested in taking part please contact Tommie on 087-7669017.
