Kilmore GAA Club Notes 7th October 2013

Under 21 Team
Our U-21 game due to be played last Saturday was postponed at the request of Ballinameen. the game is now fixed for Sunday the 20th of October in Kilmore.
Under 12 Team
Our Under 12 team played their final game of the year on Monday last. We thank all the players, parents and management team for their efforts with the team during the year. We also thank Barry & Edel Cox who sponsored refreshments for the players after the game on Monday evening last.
Eat Less, Move More
We have just over 2 weeks remaining on our challenge to lose 32 stone as a group. We have lost just over 23 stone as a group so we have 2 weeks to lose the remaining 9 stone. Our weigh in takes place at 8.30pm on Tuesday and we would encourage everyone to attend. All our participants will also be getting sponsorship for their great work for Kilmore GAA club over the next 2 weeks so we would ask everyone to support them as much as possible.
Challenge 24/32
On Friday night the 25th of October 4 of our club members will depart from the club rooms in an attempt to drive the 32 counties of Ireland in 24 hours for the Irish Cancer Society. They will arrive back to our celebration night for our Eat Less, Move more participants which takes place in Earlys Hillstreet with food and music from 9pm on Saturday night the 26th. To raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society tickets are now on sale priced at €5 each, 3 for €10 or 20 for €50. We have brilliant prizes of weekend breaks with one in each county of Ireland so you have 32 chances of a hotel break. Other News
A general meeting of Kilmore GAA club will take place on this Tuesday night the 8th of October at 9.30pm in the Club rooms. All members of the club are welcome to attend. The club will hold there annual race night in the Kilmore Inn on Friday night the 6th of December. Tickets will be on sale from members of the executive and players in the coming weeks. Sponsorship opportunities will also be available. The club wishes our senior player Diarmuid Carney a very happy birthday this week as he reaches the big 30 and Gerard Fitzmaurice who gets a year closer to the big 40. the club also congratulates our former underage player Aidan McGauran who got married recently. Well done to St Brigids on winning the county title and well done to our underage players who were part of the St Marys hurling U-14 team who won the Leitrim championship on Sunday.
