Hard luck to our figure and set dancing teams who completed in the Dean Crowe theatre on Sunday last in the county final of scor na nóg. Unfortunately despite great performances the girls did not qualify but were a credit to our club! Thanks to Michael Gunn for his time, effort and patience also to all the parents for bringing the children to practices and competitions. Our Figure dancers were- Orla Glancy, Michelle Tarpey, Aideen Burke, Aisling Burke, Shauna Burke, Aisling Early, Eleanor McWeeney and Ailish McWeeney. Our set dancers were Olivia Connellan, Aoife Butler, Aoife Early, Aine Early, Grainne Burke, Leah Murphy, Shauna McWeeney and Eleanor McWeeney.

Kilmore GAA’s annual card drive will take place in Brackens Hillstreet on next Sunday the 18th of December. Tickets cost €5 and are available from members of the executive. There will be refreshments served and spot prizes on the night. The first game starts at 9:30 pm sharp.

The club would like to extend best wishes to Gerry Tiernan who recently retired from An Garda Siochana after over 33 years service. Gerry has been a prominent member of the club down through the years. A retirement function will be held in the Bush Hotel Carrick-on-Shannon this Friday the 16th of December at 9:30pm. Refreshment will be provided with music and dancing. Everybody is welcome.
