Kilmore G.A.A. Notes 11th November 2012

Pride of the parish this week goes to our mighty U-14 team who won the division 3 league final on Sunday last by defeating Western Gaels 7-14 to 2-4. The Kilmore lads dominated the game from start to finish and played some lovely football. The Kilmore team was Sean Cox, Padraig Earley, Shane McGowan, Brian Hoolahan, Daniel Burke, Cormac O Rourke, Sean Collins, Oisin Boland, Colman Earley, Niall Gannon, Diarmuid Earley, Cameron Crossan and Fiachra Doyle. Well done to the players and also the management team of Raymond Earley, Gary Connellan and Danny O Rourke. Thanks to all the supporters who turned out in great numbers. DVD's of the game are available and can be booked by contacting Dr Gary Vesey on 086-8986340. The U-14 team are also in the championship semi final and that will be fixed very soon. Our U-21 team bowed out of the championship after a 3 point defeat to St Barrys on Sunday afternoon in Kilmore. We thank all the players for their efforts during the year and we also thank the management team of Martin Garvey, Michael Connellan and Pat Gannon for their work with the team all year. this weekend our Junior B team go into action in the Northern final as we face Tulsk on this Sunday at 2.30pm. The venue has yet to be confirmed but will be circulated via text, facebook and our website as soon as it is known. We wish our junior B team the best of luck and ask for all supporters to come out for the game. The minor board thanks everyone who contributed to their recent church gate collection and thank everyone who took up the collection. Our last man standing is now down to the last 2 and Noel Sharkey and Yvonne Creighton are now the only 2 remaining going into week 12. Our minor girls team were defeated by St Croans on Sunday last. Don't forget Peter Joe's card game takes place on Sunday the 23rd of December and our annual Christmas outing will take place on St Stephens day in the Kilmore Inn. The club wishes John Paul Murray and Barbara Fallon the best of luck as they get married this Friday and we also wish the best of luck to our former player David Foley who also gets married this Friday.
