Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling All-Ireland U21 B Final
Tomorrow, Roscommon GAA will be represented in our third All-Ireland Final of the year as the Under 21 Hurlers take on Kildare in the Bord Gáis Energy GAA Hurling All-Ireland U21 B Final at Semple Stadium. The game has a throw-in time of 5pm and forms part of an attractive double-header with the "A" Final between Kilkenny and Clare, which throws in at 7pm.
We wish the players and management the best of luck and would encourage as many supporters as possible to make the trip to Tipp. For those who cannot make the journey the game will be live on TG4 and we'll have updates on

Club Championships
It's a case of no more second chances in the Shannonside FM Senior Football Cship, George Bannon Sports Intermediate Football Cship and Kepak Senior Hurling Cship from now on. The action gets under way on Saturday evening at 5:30 with three games:
George Bannon Sports Intermediate Football Championship Quarter Finals
At Kilbride, St Michael's V Clan na nGael B
At Orchard Park, Elphin, Eire Óg V Boyle
Shannonside FM Senior Football Championship
At Kiltoom, Castlerea St Kevin's V Pádraig Pearses

On Sunday, the action begins with an exciting Shannonside FM Senior Football Championship double header in Dr. Hyde Park. At 1:30pm St. Brigids meet Western Gaels and at 3pm Clann na nGael take on Elphin.
While O'Rourke Park, Castlerea is the venue for the George Bannon Sports Intermediate Football Cship game between St Barrys and St Aidans at 2pm
The football quarter-finals conclude with a double header at the New GAA Grounds in Strokestown:
At 4pm Kilglass Gaels meet St Dominics in the George Bannon Sports Intermediate Football Cship and that is followed by the Shannonside FM Senior Football Cship Quarter Final between Roscommon Gaels and St Faithleachs.

Padraig Pearses and Oran meet in the Kepak Senior Hurling Cship Losers Group Final on Sunday at 5pm in Athleague. The winner will take on Athleague in the County Semi-Final on Saturday the 22nd.

Prediction League
Entries for Round Five of the Roscommon GAA Prediction League close at 7pm this evening (Friday)  - click here to play . After last weekend's Bonus Round Charlie Reynolds has taken the lead on 90 points but he is closely followed by Dermot Neary and Peter Carney on 80 points. The full table can also be viewed at the link above.

The competition has proved popular with over 90 people having taken part to date. It began last month as part of our promotion of the Senior, Intermediate and Junior Football Championships and the Senior Hurling Championship and points are awarded for each correct match outcome predicted. Five points are on offer for a win, ten for a draw, with twenty on offer for correctly answering the "Extra Time" question.

The three players with the highest score at the end of the competition will compete for prizes including a pair of tickets to the Roscommon GAA Supporters Club Awards Banquet in December.

A thank you message from Coiste Iomana
Coiste Iomana would like to express it’s appreciation to everyone who helped in any way in the preparation for the All-Ireland Minor B Hurling Final last Saturday. Roscommon played a very good, strong Kerry team on the day and it wasn't their day.
We would like to thank all the players and management - Mike Kilcline, Peter Tiernan, Padraig Dooley, Andy Hession, Stephen Lohan, Trainer Ollie Canning and others who helped out and were involved during the year.
We would also like to thank the many supporters who made the trip to Limerick on Saturday to support the team and finally, we'd like to thank Casey’s Centra and Topaz for their sponsorship of the Minor Hurling team, which in difficult economic times, is very much appreciated.

Coffee Morning Appeal for Hospice
Roscommon Mayo Hospice is appealing for volunteers to help local Palliative Care Services by hosting a coffee morning in your area on National Coffee morning for Hospice which is scheduled for September 20th, or any other date that suits. All funds raised local stay in your local area and a Coffee Morning pack, with promotional material will be provided. All individuals, groups, and schools are especially welcome to get involved.

With the Clubs Championships at advanced stages and the Inter-county season drawing to a close now is the time to start thinking about your nominations for the Roscommon GAA Supporters Club Awards. The awards cover all Gaelic sports and you can nominate at any time via the Supporters section of
The Awards Banquet is currently scheduled for December 8th and always proves to be a very enjoyable occasion.
